Central Goldfields Shire has outstanding sports and leisure facilities, from great golf in Maryborough, Talbot and Dunolly to quiet country roads throughout the region that are perfect for road cycling. There is even a velodrome on the outskirts of Maryborough.
A series of bicycle and walking tracks provide some amazing experiences of riding between towns without once having to cycle on the highways. The flat contours of Maryborough and surrounds is well placed to deliver a range of walking and cycling experiences emanating from the historic Railway Station and via the villages network across the Shire.
